I was inspired by your ripplesketch idea and have enclosed a 2.5 x 3.5 pastel drawing as a submission. I’m from Southeastern Pennsylvania and we have egrets and herons here too. When I see them standing so serenely, watching intently for prey, I think of how distressed and confused the water birds of the gulf must be.
