G.24 G.25 G.26SOLD G.27SOLD G.28. GREAT AMERICAN ILLUSTRATOR - Jean Cassels

G.24

Run away little one: 5.50 x 3.75

Living in New Orleans I thought nothing could be as tragic as Katrina , but this BP oil disaster gives tragedy a whole new dimension.  It is unimaginable how much damage has been done and will be done to the lives of people, the animals, the environment.  If my little paintings can help make a difference that would be so wonderful.  Thank you Kelly for making this all happen!
I've illustrated over 60 books mostly about natural history. My most recent book is...Two Bobbies  an amazing and true story about a dog and a cat rescued after Katrina.
These pieces were painted with opaque watercolor and ink on Arches Watercolor paper, the sizes are:

G23. SOLD GREAT AMERICAN ILLUSTRATOR - Connie McLennan

After illustrating for many years, California artist Connie McLennan turned to children’s books and finally to fine art. This starfish appears of the back cover of one of her 13 illustrated books, a paperback copy of which will be included along with the original art. The 5.25 x 5.25”painting is acrylic on watercolor paper, matted to 10 x 10”. It is reminiscent of the familiar starfish story: we can';t save all of the animals--but we can save this one … and this one…and this one …

More of Connie';s artwork and a list of published books may be seen on her website at www.conniemclennan.com
