This collection of pictures is from the students at Montessori Country Day School in Plainsboro, NJ. The children range in age from 6 to 10 years. In their every-day efforts, the kids are always working toward being good citizens. For instance, this summer they made organic dog biscuits for an animal shelter, they washed their teachers’ cars to raise money for the Special Olympics, and they have learned to bring in “trashless” lunches, using no throw-away materials. When they learned about participating in the Ripple Sketches project to help the animals in the Gulf, they were thrilled. Their teacher, Heidi A Monteleone, also contributed two sketches to the project which were sold several weeks ago.I hope you can use these pictures. My students and I appreciate what you’re doing with this helpful project. It’s really a terrific way to get people involved and thinking. Thanks again.
Best regards,
Heidi A Monteleone
