Tim Coffey
The first book I illustrated, Red Berry Wool, won a Golden Kite Honor from the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (how lucky is that?). Other recognition for my books includes the American Booksellers Association Pick of the Lists, a Parents’ Choice Silver Medal, and the Society of Illustrators Original Art Show.
My artwork has been published on scrapbooking supplies, wall calendars, fabric, and countless other items.
I want every collection I create to be made from recycled and environmentally friendly materials, but the first success I’ve had in that effort is with a collection of sculptural figures made of recycled cast iron. The collection is called “Simple Gestures”, manufactured by Demdaco. I found the whole “Simple Gestures” collection at an online store called Black Swan Home, Hearth & Gift. I wish the frames could have been made of the same recycled cast iron (they would have weighed a ton), but I believe they are resin.
Here is the link—Please check it out and pass it on to anyone you think might be interested—so I can create more recycled collections!:
