The Carle will send all of the cards from the day to workers helping clean up the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. I live in the Boston area now, but I grew up many years ago in the South. We went to the Florida panhandle beaches every summer, sometimes twice, for more than ten years. Back then, the only thing we feared in the water were jellyfish, seaweed patches, and the small schools of fish that swam through the shallow areas and tickled our legs. Looks like this oil spill will erase the opportunity for any new memories for many decades to come.
