I’m a various style illustrator, animal lover and pet guardian.
I felt helpless against the tragedy of the oil spill affecting the lives of all species in the Gulf Coast, and I wanted to contribute in the only way I can at this time. The two pieces I offer, “Hurt” and “Hope,” depict pain, desperation, pleading, helplessness, to hope and regeneration in the future. Each piece is hand-drawn with pencil, watercolor, markers and multiliners on 2.5”x3.5” bristol.

Thank you to Kelly Light and all who are contributing to Ripple.

My name is Jeanne and I am an artist living in Arizona.  I work full time in a Pharmacy to pay my bills, but you will find me creating art when I'm on my off time.  I design for Mark's Finest Papers acrylic stamp company, and that is a fun and creative privilege! I have two blogs- one is primarily for the Card making, and the Studio is geared toward my original art works: My Studio  and Nannys Room

The artwork I have attached is a Pelican face that was watercolor and ink.  The painting was inspired from a photo that my daughter took on vacation in California.

It breaks my heart to think of so many homeless baby turtles who, even after rescue, may never return to the gulf again.  I drew both cards with watercolor pencils and I hope the oil stops spilling soon!

A little bit about me:
I'm a children's book writer/illustrator, currently working on a story called Morose Molly Rose.  People can check out my work down below at my blog or website.
