Salli S. Swindell is a creative tornado and an illustrator/designer living in Ohio. She is one half of the blog team for They Draw and Cook.

I was so taken aback when these were in my email. Wow. We do get caught up in caring for living things with "faces". I stopped and thought about the plant life. The coral. What supports what lives below the sea. It will die. No one can wash it.
Salli points out it's beauty, it's inspiration and makes us think. - that's why art is cool.

Alicia Padron is a published illustrator living in Venezuela. I've told her, her art is like a hug. I'm right, right?? And those hugs come from her kids too. Who each did a card also. The one who did the great sea turtle is 12. The one who painted the dolphin sunset is 8. A talented family!- and caring too.

Because Alicia and her family live so far- These will be digital prints. I have high res files and will print them out on archival paper w/ a scanned Thank you note from Alicia.

You can check out Alicia's work at her website and her blog.

Nancy Lennet sent in these two cards this evening. She spent the week working away on them. Thru computer glitches and art supply failures- she stayed the course 'cause she wanted to help. And that's Awesome. It's awesome in it's commitment. Small in scale- big in heart. These cards are actually 4" by 6".

Nancy was a NYC based animator who worked on commercials & preschool television before escaping to the wilds of Connecticut.
You can find out more about Nancy on her blog.
